Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international independent medical humanitarian organisation created in 1971, provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters or exclusion from health care. MSF runs humanitarian programs in over 70 countries worldwide. MSF opened its office in the Republic of Korea in 2012, based in Seoul. The MSF Korea office focuses on four key pillars: (1) recruitment of skilled Korean medical and non-medical staff to dispatch to MSF field projects, (2) communications to the Korean public on global humanitarian crises and urgent health emergencies, (3) outreach to Korean stakeholders and policymakers in support of international community engagement and action, (4) and fundraising from Korean donors to directly support MSF medical humanitarian activities.
Under the direction of the Communications Director, Media Relations Lead will be responsible for engaging with traditional and new media outlets to expand MSF and raise visibility, principles, identity, activities, projects and events among the Korean audience.
S/he will lead the planning and implementation of strategic media engagement based on the operational news and communications priorities from the MSF movement and develop tailored messaging for Korean media and audiences.
S/he will serve as a key media strategist, cultivating and managing relationships with the media network, and proactively positioning MSF’s activities and voice in the Korean media landscape.
This role includes overseeing messaging coordination, media risk monitoring, and managing reputational response in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Under the direct supervision of the Donor Development Manager, and in close collaboration with MSF Korea staff and external agencies, the Donor Care Officer is responsible for strengthening donor retention and loyalty through strategic communication, proactive service, and experience-centered engagement.

The Fundraising Team is responsible for driving private income growth through strategic, ethical, and donor-centered fundraising activities. The team plans and executes multi-channel campaigns, ensures high-quality donor engagement, and supports the long-term sustainability of MSF Korea’s operations.
The Philanthropy – HNWI team aims to grow income from high-value donors by expanding and nurturing relationships with high net worth individuals. It drives strategic engagement, personalized stewardship, and targeted outreach to enhance donor loyalty and secure major gifts. The team supports MSF Korea’s fundraising goals by developing tailored strategies and increasing MSF’s visibility among key prospects.
Under the supervision of Philanthropy Manager-High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), the Major Gifts
Officer contributes to the growth and development of philanthropy fundraising efforts and the philanthropy club program in Major Individuals and Institutional sectors. This includes developing strategies, sourcing, and onboarding high-uality prospects, and supporting the implementation of stewardship
and cultivation activities for existing major individual and HNWI donors.
